ACORN II is a study to evaluate the impact of group treatment for antenatal anxiety.
We are currently recruiting pregnant women who are between 12 and 16 weeks pregnant who are highly anxious. The study is trialling a new group-based therapy which is delivered by a psychological wellbeing practitioner and midwife for pregnant women and their supportive others.
The groups will be run during pregnancy for four weeks and then a last session after the baby is born. The research team will contact those taking part around five times during pregnancy, until the baby is one year of age.
If you are interested or know someone who might benefit from taking part, please contact the trial team on dpt.acorn@nhs.net or call 01392 674117.
