Children and adolescent research

ATTEND - Adolescents and carers using mindfulness therapy to end depression

ATTEND is a research study looking to find a new, effective treatment for depression and low mood in adolescents. The research team has developed a treatment called mindfulness for adolescents and carers (MAC). Whilst the team do not yet know how effective this new treatment is, previous research in mindfulness-based interventions suggests positive results and this study is a chance for you to work with us in developing and testing this treatment.

This study is developed for

  • teenagers aged 15 –18 currently experiencing low mood, and their parents/carers.
  • teenagers aged 15-18 who previously had help but are still struggling

You need to have a willingness to possibly participate in a new group-based mindfulness intervention and there is £60 incentive for taking part.
