Step 2 - Patient engagement

Engaging with our patients is at the heart of what we do. This suports the overall aim of delivering proactive care to our patients therefore their involvement is crucial to the success of the Four Steps to Safety project.

Interventions:

Compact

Agreed understanding and expectations reduce frustration and disagreements which can lead to escalation of violence and aggression. We understand the importance of giving both patients and staff an opportunity to come together to openly discuss and agree on the values and expectations that are important to both.
