Pride of DPT aims to recognise achievements, celebrate outstanding accomplishments and applaud inspirational colleagues. Most importantly, you are the ones who nominate your peers, shining a light on those individuals and teams who have made an exceptional contribution to our organisation and the people we care for.

Clinical Team of the Year - sponsored by Dr Fintan Larkin, Medical Director, and Laura Hobbs, Director of Corporate Affairs

This award recognises the commitment and dedication of an outstanding team that has gone above and beyond the call of duty and can demonstrate how working together effectively and efficiently has led to benefits for patients, staff and the organisation. This team will be made up of supportive colleagues who live and breathe our values and who make a real difference to the lives of others including colleagues and service users. Through their innovative work they enable the smooth running of our organisation and deliver results that exceed expectations, leading to improvement in procedures, practices, productivity, or service levels.

Nominations might include: 

  • Evidence of how the team has worked together to achieve success while living our values
  • Evidence of consistently exceeding expectations
  • Evidence of involving service users and/or partners
  • Illustrations of how the team works innovatively to overcomes barriers
  • Evidence of achieving great results or making a change which has benefitted the organisation or the people we support
  • What sets this team apart from others within the organisation


Non-Clinical Team of the Year - sponsored by Laura Hobbs, Director of Corporate Affairs

Learner of the Year - sponsored by Liz Perry, Chief People Officer

This award recognises students and apprentices of all ages who have shown a commitment to their learning whilst continuing to provide the highest quality care and services. Their commitment to continuing personal and professional development has been undertaken in order to benefit our organisation and to support the delivery of outstanding care or support to their colleagues or patients. This person will be an inspiration to those around them.

Nominations might include: 

  • A keen desire to learn whilst successfully working hard
  • How the learner has sought to get the most out of the learning opportunity
  • Evidence of how their learning has been applied to their role for the benefit of their team and our patients
  • Care and compassion towards those in our care
  • Bringing innovative or inspirational ideas into the workplace


Inspirational Colleague Award (clinical) - sponsored by Chris Burford, Director of Nursing and Professions

This award recognises an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to our organisation, often not fully realising the value they bring. This person is a constant support to those around them and is someone who inspires and encourages colleagues on a daily basis even at times of extreme pressure. They show exemplary dedication and commitment to their role all while enhancing the lives of colleagues and ensuring care can be delivered to a very high standard to the people we support. They will be a fantastic role model for our values and can influence and engage those around them.

Nominations might include: 

  • Examples of how they consistently go above and beyond
  • Examples of how they affect those around them
  • Examples of consistently mobilising and energising others
  • Examples of outstanding person-centred care
  • Examples of how they embody our values


Inspirational Colleague Award (non-clinical) - sponsored by Phill Mantay, Deputy CEO and Director of Finance

This award recognises an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to our organisation, often not fully realising the value they bring. This person is a constant support to those around them and is someone who inspires and encourages colleagues on a daily basis even at times of extreme pressure. They show exemplary dedication and commitment to their role all while enhancing the lives of colleagues and ensuring care can be delivered to a very high standard to the people we support. They will be a fantastic role model for our values and can influence and engage those around them.

Together Award - sponsored by Melanie Walker, Chief Executive

This award is for people who actively champion meaningful involvement and inclusion of people using our services, including carers and families. They are prepared to break down barriers, challenging colleagues and partners to see things in a new way.

Nominations might include: 

  • Examples of enhancing care for service users and/or colleagues through a sustained and passionate commitment to inclusion
  • Have raised the profile of meaningful co-production within their service
  • How the person considers meaningful involvement in everything they do.


Board Award - sponsored by Andy Willis, Chairman

This award recognises people who have made a difference, demonstrating their commitment and compassion in helping to achieve our vision. This award is chosen and awarded by our Chair, Andy Willis and Chief Executive, Melanie Walker.
