Exeter Racecourse was the venue for one of the most special events in our calendar - the Celebrating Achievement Awards. This year saw another rise in the number of nominations - 105 were received - and it seems increasingly difficult to select a winner in each category as they are all so well deserving.
The event was hosted by our Chair, Julie Dent, and Chief Executive, Melanie Walker. Commenting on this year's awards, Melanie said: "Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2016 event. This has truly become an event where everyone is a winner simply for being nominated. Thanks to all of our staff for the hard work and the dedication you show every day - it's a key part of making our services ever better.
"It has been particularly pleasing over the last few years to see greater and greater numbers of non-staff members at the event - past users of our services, people who we are still supporting, carers and others. It makes it a far more inclusive and meaningful event and hearing about how we have changed people's lives is incredibly uplifting. Well done to everyone and I hope to see even more nominations next year."
